The Past

Thought For Thought

Make peace with your past, live in your present and work towards your future. Life is too short to live in your past and worry about the future because then you are forgetting about the now. With each present moment it then becomes a thing of the past so embrace every moment in the present because it all goes by so fast.

The Past

Everything and everyone has a past. Me and my daughters went for a little walk not far from where we live and we was talking about the past and the history around our area. They then started asking about my past before them which was so lovely as we all had a trip down memory lane on our walk. I like to remember past moments but I don’t live in the past, I was more aware of this present moment because I was creating a memory with my daughters on our walk talking about life and answering their crazy questions about my younger years. It was so lovely and exactly what we all needed.

“Mummy did they have iPods and iPhones when you was our age?” – Katie age 7

“Mummy why do people get buried? That’s really mean?” – Summer age 8

“Mummy was you alive when world war 2 happened?” – Katie (grounded)

“Mummy do you feel old walking here with us when you did this with your dad when you was a little girl?” – Summer

As you can see, full of funny, random and let’s face it cheeky questions. But in this moment I can say from the bottom of my heart I was truly present and happy.

Last words of wisdom

” Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” ~ Alice Morse Earle

Thank you so much for reading.
Take care and talk soon.

Love, Kimmy & her girls xoxo
